The SELECTION PROCESS

Application: Candidates will need to submit an application for the test. Candidates can only apply online. Candidates can apply via UPSC's official web site UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

Written Examination: Candidates who have been selected on the basis of their applications will be granted an admit card to take their written test. Written exam will be conducted at the locations indicated in the admission card.

Paper Pattern & Marking System

Paper I - Mathematics 300 marks - 120 questions -- 2.5 marks per question.

Paper II Paper II: Paper II - (General Ability Test) 600 marks 150 questions - 4 marks per question.

1/3 negative mark for each incorrect answer.

SSB Interview: It's an five days long interview conducted by three different officers i.e. psychological officer, interviewing Officer as well as GTO (group Task Officer). Candidates who have passed the exam will then take part in SSB Interview.

Medical Test: Students who are recommended through SSB interview will be referred to have a medical examination in different Military Hospitals.
