SSB Interview Process for CDS, NDA, AFCAT, and Other
Candidates who pass the simple examinations such as CDS, NDA, and AFCAT are then invited by their respective military boards to take SSB interviews. You can also be a part of an SSB interview by being shortlisted direct entry - TES, TGC, UES, SSC Tech, etc. The candidates selected for the interview are required to appear before the Service Selection Board for an assessment of their personality and intelligence.

SSB Interview Procedure

Day 0 (Reporting)
The aspirants are typically received on the way to the post through the officer(s) who are from the selection board. From there, they're transferred to the center for selection.
1- Once the candidates have settled in, an "Opening Address is given in which an officer from the board informs them about their time in the next 5 days.
2- Document Verification happens following that, and the original documents of the applicants are examined.

1- Day 1 (Screening)
The first day is comprised of three tests:
Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR Test - Paper 1 & Paper 2)
Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT) Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR Test) The first day is the 'Officer Intelligence Rating Test that consists of both non-verbal and verbal tests. 2- Day 2 (Psychology Test)
In the 2nd day of SSB the Psychological Test is conducted. The following tests are conducted on the day:
1. Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) Candidates are shown 12 pictures (including one blank) and must create a story within 4 minutes. This time-limit is set to test the natural reaction of each aspirant.
2. Word Association Test (WAT) 60 words are displayed before the aspirants at a time of 15 seconds and they must write down a phrase that pops into their minds upon seeing the word.
3 Situation Reaction Test (SRT) 3 Situation Reaction Test (SRT): A book is provided to students with 60 real-life scenarios. they are required to write down their responses to the scenarios. The duration of this test lasts 30 minutes.
4. Self-Description Test (SDT) Students are required to write a few sentences about their self-description within the context. For example, they should write the opinions of their teachers, parents or friends, etc. and the characteristics that they would like to improve. The time limit for the test is 15 minutes.
3- Day 3 (Group Testing - I)
Day 3 is a group test. In this test, several outdoor tests are held where students are required to take part in groups. The day will include testing groups in the following manner:
Group Discussion: A group discussion will be conducted around two topics in a back-to-back fashion, on recent events or social issues. The typical debate lasts 20-30 minutes per session.
A Group Planning Exercise (GPE): The Aspirants are grouped into groups of between 10 and 15 participants and are given a narrative built on a model that addresses particular issues. Candidates must be able to recognize the problem and propose the solution that is practical for their problems.
Progressive Group Task (PGT): Participants must work together to overcome the four obstacles presented within a group. For this, they will be given some support materials and certain rules.
GOR: Group Obstacle Racing (GOR) is often known as"the" Snake race, every group will be able to compete against each other for six obstacles.
Half-Group Task (HGT) Half Group Task (HGT) is similar to PGT however, it is performed in a smaller number of participants over only one obstacle.
4- Day 4 (Group Testing - II)
